VIDEO: Police charge Mount Isa man with child sex offences
Police will allege the offences occurred over a 25-year period between 2000 and 2025.

Police charged a 40-year-old man in Mount Isa yesterday (September 23) with more than 70 child sex offences, which are alleged to have occurred over a 25-year period.
Officers from Mount Isa Child Protection and Investigation Unit (CPIU) closed the protracted operation, code-named Xray Wolfturn, which resulted in the man being charged with 75 child sex offences in relation to five children.
Police will allege the offences occurred between 2000 and 2025.
The 40-year-old Mount Isa man was charged with 55 counts of indecent treatment, eight counts of make child exploitation material, three counts each of rape and grooming, two counts each of unlawful sodomy and use internet to procure children and one count each of possess child exploitation material and supply dangerous drugs to minor.
He was remanded in custody to re-appear in Mount Isa Magistrates Court on 20 October.
Mount Isa CPIU Officer in Charge Detective Acting Senior Sergeant Shauna McIvor said: “Our team has relentlessly investigated these offences to hold the alleged offender to account.
“We fully investigate all reports of offences against children, and acknowledge the courage required by a young person to come forward and make a complaint.
“Thanks to the bravery of these children in speaking up, we have arrested and charged a man and put him before the courts,” Acting Senior Sergeant Shauna McIvor said.
