Bell & Moir Toyota backing Zonta Rodeo Queen Quest ball
The long-time Mount Isa business has lifted its level of support for the rodeo and the traditional Queen Quest ball.

Bell & Moir Toyota have returned as the naming rights sponsor of the 2025 Zonta Rodeo Queen Quest ball.
The announcement continues Lee and Linda Pulman’s more than two-decade association with the ball, and Bell & Moir’s overall support for the Mount Isa Rodeo, which began at the very first event in 1959.
Mr Pulman said Bell & Moir Toyota had doubled its sponsorship from previous years to help resurrect the event.
He said the ball was always one of the important highlights of the city’s social calendar.
“It has always been the ball to go to – everyone talks about the Bell & Moir Toyota Rodeo Ball,” he said.
“All the ladies are raising money for local charities and all that money goes back into the local community.
“People are interested in what the ladies are doing, and it generates interest for months leading up to the ball.
“Our company’s slogan is ‘locals helping locals’ and we always want to live by that example.”
Mr Pulman said there was growing support in the business community for the new direction being taken by the rodeo organising committee.
“We can’t live in the past – it is time to focus on the future,” he said.
“The committee is out talking to people and getting things back to basics.
“Whatever the rodeo organisers do this year, they will build on it and we want to see it go from strength to strength.”
Zonta board member and Queen Quest coordinator Debbie Huddy welcomed the continued support from Bell & Moir Toyota.
“Lee and Linda are great friends to us all and we are very excited to have them on board again,” she said.
“Everyone seems to be looking forward to the event. We are focused on focusing on the basics this year, which is what everyone wants to see.”
Fellow Quest coordinator Loretta Gladstone said all the quest entrants were highly visible in the community.
“We are so proud of our five entrants who are all out and about in our community, raising funds for their chosen organisations,” she said.
“We look forward to celebrating the Queen Quest with them at the ball.”
The 2025 Bell & Moir Toyota Zonta Queen Quest Rodeo Ball will be held on Saturday, August 2 at the Buchanan Park Entertainment Centre.
The theme for this year’s ball is “Boots and Bling”. Ticket details out soon.
